The Colorado Committee of the National Museum of Women in the Arts

The Colorado Committee of the National Museum of Women in the Arts (CCNMWA) champions women and non-binary artists living or exhibiting in Colorado while advancing the mission of the National Museum of Women in the Arts (NMWA) in Washington, D.C.

Colorado was represented in the NMWA’s “Women to Watch” exhibition for the first time in 2024 with a new work by Ana María Hernando! This was made possible by the creation of CCMWA in 2021 and from generous individual support. Planning for Colorado’s inclusion in the 2027 “Women to Watch” exhibition will commence in 2025.

Throughout the year, CCNMWA hosts exhibition tours and special events that showcase the work of women and non-binary artists exhibiting in Colorado.
